Battle maps are awesome!
Everyone knows that having a wonderful resin scenery set-up, or a fancy neoprene battle map for those set-piece battles is great.
But what about random encounters or locations you haven’t planned for? Or what if (like me) you simply don’t have the budget for loads of scenery? And how do you even transport all that stuff to the game anyway? And even then, how do you keep things sufficiently varied?
When I started using maps and miniatures for my own RPG games these were questions I had to find answers to. And that’s where my map tiles come in.
Supplied in sets of 30, these double-sided, card-stock map tilesets will fit in a coat pocket and won’t break the bank.
Designed to be extremely flexible in use, there are nine new sets in this wave:
Backstreets
Whether it’s a fantasy city or a victorian city, this tileset gives you loads of options to create seedy backstreets for adventurers and investigators to explore. With plenty of twists, turns, dog-legs, and alcoves, and strewn with rubbish, crates, and barrels this set is great for a whole range of settings!
Evil Forest
With this set, we venture into the heart of the darkwood! Twisted branches, thickets of thorns, and tangles of brambles; this is the perfect counterpoint to the fairer set. With a wide variety of paths and junctions, as well as tiles to create larger clearings.
Scifi Utopian
Featuring the amazing art of Paul Bourne, this scifi set is suitable for high adventure beyond the stars. Whether it’s a scientific exploration ship, an alien base, or the corridors of a rebel base, these tiles are perfect for your science fantasy adventures! These tiles have a grid built-in as part of the art.
Scifi Dystopian
Featuring the incredible work of Paul Bourne, this sci-fi set is suitable for the grotty underbelly of sci-fi dystopia! The worn belly of a freighter, a reclaimed imperial base that’s seen better days, or an automated factory in the dead zone, these tiles are perfect for your grimy sci-fi adventures! These tiles have a grid built-in as part of the art.
Water
Expanding on a feature from the Wave One Extra Detail tiles, this set gives you loads of options for lakes, rivers, and streams, or even the sea. You can build islands, and shorelines, and includes a bunch of water tiles to create open water. This set is perfect to mix up your wilderness adventures. The Water Set connects to the Heathland Tiles.
Moorland Ruin
This set gives you alternative wildlands to the Heathland Tiles. As well as a whole range of attractive moorland tiles with plenty of natural features, this set gives you a bunch of ruined walls that you can piece together into an exciting adventure locale!
Desert
Rocky outcrops, boulder-strewn chasms, and dusty gulches, this set is perfect for post-apocalypse and desert adventures.
Hillfort
With this set, you can build a series of palisades and roundhouses to explore. There are various round buildings, fences, and rectangular buildings. Perfect for the hill folk, or orcs, or bandits! This set links up to the Moorland Ruin set.
Linking Tiles 2
One set of 30 double-sided, gridded Linking Map Tiles. These tiles allow you to link different sets together, in a variety of combinations.
