It’s a manual of monsters, a folio of fiends, and it outlines all the trouble that toothsome terrors can bring to you and your party. It’s perfect if you’re running a game, if you just want to flick through it for ideas.

Here’s a sneaky peak at some of its best beasties…

Those of you who originally backed our Kickstarter, these beautiful books should be reaching you, and your adventurers, any minute.

Please do let know they’ve arrived – tag us on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram!

Scarred Lands Creature Collection for 5e is Live!

We’re bringing the best adversaries from the history of the fan-favourite Creature Collection to 5th Edition! We want to make a full colour, one creature per page, hardcover bestiary for the world’s favourite roleplaying game.

It’s going to be expertly converted, beautifully illustrated, wonderfully laid out, and full to the brim with useful content.

If we’re extra successful we’ll also include random encounter tables, drop-in encounters with battle maps, and lots of additional digital content.

Way back at the beginning of the d20 times, when 3rd Edition was the big noise, gamers had two core manuals with which to play. The Player’s Handbook and Dungeon Master’s Guide were available, but there was a pause before we got the official Monster Manual. Into that gap burst The Creature Collection – the very first bestiary of Third Edition monsters!

Now we’re bringing the Creature Collection to 5th Edition!

Our aims and campaign are simple: to see how large a 5th Edition bestiary we can create with your help!

Scarred Lands Creature Collection “Encounter Packs”

Not only will the Scarred Lands Creature Collection for 5th Edition be chock full of the best monsters from the history of the Creature Collection. It’ll also have an appendix of “encounter packs” like this one. These will offer a location with battle map and suggested foes to drop into your campaign! We’ve redacted some spoiler info from this sample, The Temple of the Stars, just in case you play it!

The Creature Collection will hit Kickstarter very soon!

Creature Collection Page-edge Icons

Did you grab our free preview of monsters from the upcoming Scarred Lands Creature Collection for 5e? It’s available for free here: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/281171/Scarred-Lands-Creature-Collection-Preview-1

Something you might have spotted is the icons on the edge of each page. We’ve added these to make the Creature Collection as useful and as easy to use as possible.

Using these means we can keep the entire Collection alphabetised, so if you know the name of the creature you want, you’ll be able to find it easily.

If however you want some suggestions for suitable Challenge Ratings, or creatures that inhabit specific terrain? Then that’s where the page-edge icons can help!

Here’s a look at what the symbols mean:

The original monster book is back! In this free preview you can get a glimpse into the world of Scarred Lands, and the adversaries that await!

About Scarred Lands:

This is a world shaped by gods and monsters, and only the greatest of heroes can expect to be counted among them. The most populous continent of Scarn, Ghelspad, plays host to vast unexplored regions, hides unsolved riddles from ancient cultures, and taunts adventures with the promise of undiscovered riches hidden among the ruins of older civilizations.

Yet the myths of the Scarred Lands are relatively recent events. The effects of the Titanswar still ripple through the world, and the heroines and villains of many of these stories are part of living memory, if not still living.
